Class/Workshop Itinerary

Saturday morning, participants will have the opportunity to attend three classes/workshops according to their tastes and curiosities; topics are wide ranging, far reaching, and fun. With 12 classes to choose from, the youth committee has labored to offer you a diversity of options that are as personally relevant and interesting to you as they are spiritually helpful, interesting, and engaging.

     Schedule:
               Class/Workshop 1: 10:15 to 10:45 AM
               Class/Workshop 2: 10:55 to 11:25 AM
               Class/Workshop 3: 11:35 to 12:05 PM
                 Keynote Address: 12:15 to  1:00 PM (ALL meet in the GYM)

     Breaks:
               There is a 10-minute break between all classes. Feel free to use this time to self-hydrate and kill your snack-attack (in the GYM). All classes/workshops start and end on-time, so be QUICK!

Is That the Spirit, or Just Me?” Chat with  Marty Patch how to better use the greatest guide you’ve got. Location: Chapel (choir seats). Seats 30



What I REALLY Wish I Had Known as a Teenager.”  By  Clint Cresap,  Navy Officer and helicopter/combat pilot. Discuss life planning using the special operations mission planning process. Location: Room 21 (upstairs). Seats 20



Teenage Dating 101” We invite all interested youth 14 and older to attend a fun and sensible discussion with Becca and Justin Godfrey about the lost art of dating. Location: Room 26/28 (YW’s Room, upstairs). Seats 35



Whatever Principle of Intelligence We Attain Unto In This Life…”  Join college professor  Stormy Vehnekamp to glean from her experiences what you can do now to prepare for college. Location: Room 25 (upstairs). Seats 20



Getting The Most Out of Your Scripture Study.” Ryan Bell reminds us of the excitement and joy that can be found in reading the scriptures. Location: High Council Room (behind stage, upstairs). Seats 30



I Hope They Call Me On a Mission.”  Former Mission Presidents,  Kevin and Susan Pinegar, lead a panel discussion with past and present missionaries. Come with your questions! Location: Room 29/30 (upstairs). Seats 35



Surviving Middle School.”  Join this panel discussion with some of our graduated seniors on middle school perspective and the tricks you need to survive the journey. Come with your questions! Location:  Storage room (off the GYM, north of kitchen). Seats 30


Cooking 101: Great Basics You Need to Know Before You Leave Home.” Join our skilled  Stake Young Women Presidency for the best time you’ll have in the kitchen. Come stir! Come chop! Come hungry! Location:  Relief Society Room (main hallway, connected to the kitchen). Seats 50



Fashion 101”  All interested FEMALES join  Emily McCormick to learn the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of fashion. Bring your questions and ideas and be prepared to enjoy a quick look into the world of fashion. Location: Primary Room (main hallway, east). Seats 50



How to Be a ROCKSTAR Babysitter.”  Learn from  Heather Hayes how to be the best babysitter on the block with fun tips and tricks! Location:  Room 24 (upstairs). Seats 20



Sweat a Little, Say Your Prayers, and Surround Yourself With Good.” Examine with Sara and McKay Bateman the relationship and eternal perspective between physical, spiritual, and emotional health. Gain a better understanding why strengthening each is important to our well-being and happiness. Location: Chapel Overflow. Seats 40



Fight the New Drug.” Better understand the harmful effects of pornography through science, facts, and personal accounts with our keynote speaker, Clay Olsen, in this fantastic finale. Location: GYM
